Well I could be typing a re-hash of the match repeat from our last game against Hillhead.
Clearly, lessons had not been learned or taken on-board. Again, we competed for the first half, but barring a few culpable individual errors (hands-up Messrs Parker & Coaton), the same tired mistakes where made all over the pitch. Avoidable, enfuriating errors which nibble away at players' confidence.
Due credit to the University, when they broke they did so quickly and effectively. However, the source of the turn-over was often unforced or they hadn't had to fight hard to win it.
A small crumb of comfort, from the student that umpired the next game with me when he said that they weren't a side that is '... 8 goals better than you.' It is now solely up to ourselves to prove that.
