Total dominance was the order of the first half, but nothing to show for it apart from a disallowed goal which, had it stood would have led to Dunbar buying his first 'hat-trick jug' for many a season. Lucky escape! A youthful right flank of Devine, Drennan and Boyd was causing havoc but unfortunately the possession was not turned into clear chances.
The second half saw a typical Macfarlane rocket fired into the circle for White to deflect into the net, a just reward for the dominance we had over the game. All we needed to do was keep it up and score a few more. Yep, you guessed it, they equalised shortly afterwards.
The game was in the balance until Dunbar stepped up to the plate and sklaffed a shot over the prone keeper after a good build up on the right wing. Our lead was extended just minutes later when White put Dunbar through on the keeper. Despite having Boyd available alongside him for a simple tap in, Dunbar was undeterred by his previous mishit (or had just forgotten how bad it was) and this time he rifled the ball home. Game over!
Big thanks to everyone who helped out on the day.
