Grange 6 v Dunfermline City 26.10.13

Caught out by the speed of the opposition forward, Bunker was dispossessed and the ball was slotted past Batchelor. Sadly the defence did not learn from that and never really got to grips with the running of the two City forwards. To be fair, they were not offered much protection by their teammates, with the opposition being given far too much time to pick out their passes.

Nevertheless the sixes did manage to create some chances and came close with a couple of corners, with Bunker bashing the post with a great strike on one occasion. We were more than able to compete on most areas of the pitch, but were caught out twice more before half time and went in at half time 3-0 down.

The second half followed a similar pattern; Grange had a lot of the ball but could not finish off possession with a goal, Dunfermline played long balls to their hyperactive forwards who scored. Four more times before the match ended, despite Batch making a number of good saves.

Disappointing, but the next series of matches are against (hopefully) weaker opposition and should give us a chance to regroup and (hopefully) put some more points on the board.
