Another goal bonanza for the Sizes!

Unfortunately the lead was short lived and we went 2-1 down after the Uni got into their stride and scored a couple of well taken goals. But that was not the end of the first half scoring, not by a long shot.

A period of sustained Grange pressure saw Rusty fire the ball into the circle for Dunbar to edge it into the roof of the net. Regrettably another quick attack exposed the lack of pace in our defense and the Uni made their extra numbers count to go into the break with a 3-2 lead.

A somewhat controversial umpiring decision (no Ross, I still don't accept your interpretation!) led to the Uni taking what looked like a convincing 4-2 lead… until a Grange superb move reduced the margin to one.

A cracking pass from White from deep his own half (no idea what he was doing back there) led to a slick combination between Rusty and Soley (sounds like a dodgy 80s pop combo) and the ball was stroked pass the keeper.

Pushing forward for the equaliser exposed the defense once more and the Uni punished us by scoring a fifth, and decisive, blow.

Defeat by a side joint top of the league was not unexpected, but the performance was much better than recent weeks and scoring eight goals in the last two games gives hope that better results are just around the corner.

Although I have to admit that conceding ten in the same two games is a little less acceptable.
