Despite the final scoreline the first half was actually quite a close affair. It shouldn't have been, but it was.

We had a slow start but it didn't take too long before we broke the deadlock when Weavers turned home a switched corner. Then the defense gave away the ball and they equalised.

So we scored again (Bunker from another corner), and so did they.

At 2-2 it looked like McNally was going to give us the lead from another corner, but he managed to get the ball over the bar from short range. Fortunately we scored a third to take a slender lead into the break but overall it was a somewhat sluggish performance.

The second half was much better. Two early goals gave us a comfortable lead and when an injury to their keeper weakened their defense further the goals just kept pouring in.

The highlight was undoubtably Duncan Graham's hat-trick. Switching from defense to attack for the first time this season he poached two goals when the ball was no distance off the line and a third when the ball was about twice as far out.

Goal of the game went to McNally who volleyed from the edge of the circle into the net (or so the story became by the time he had got back to the club).

Final score was 12-2, with goals from Duncan (3), Weaver (3), Bunker (2), McNally (2), Mitch and Swanston with his debut goal.
